Shaping Reciprocity

Coming to LabO (Ottawa) in May 2026, Shaping Reciprocity explores themes of interspecies empathy and reciprocity through new works for harp and dance ensemble. This special weekend of events is co-produced by HarpSparks, the Voices Dance Project, composer Jack Hui Litster, and choreographer Autumn Eckman.

Shaping Reciprocity also includes the inaugural HarpSparks: Composer Lab. This is a unique opportunity for composers of all skill levels to explore writing a short musical piece for harp, inspired by our festival themes. Each selected composer will also have their original piece choreographed by members of the Voices Dance Project for public performance on May 31, 2026.
